Candle for Cure was founded by Brooke Roberts in June 2019 after being diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer which had spread to her organs and brain. While receiving chemotherapy treatment and unable to work in her usual occupation, Brooke turned her focus to raising awareness and funds to fight advanced stage breast cancer. 

Thanks to the generosity of everyone who bought a candle or attended an event in 2019 we donated $10,000 directly to Breast Cancer Trials in their HER-2 positive metastatic breast cancer trial: DIAmOND which improves outcomes of those with a metastatic BC diagnosis.
